TGL2209-SM is a high-power X-band GaAs VPIN limiter manufactured by Qorvo, specifically designed to protect sensitive receive channel components from high-power incident signals. It features passive operation (no DC bias required), low insertion loss, and a compact form factor, enabling simple integration with minimal impact on system performance. Key specifications and details are as follows:

- Frequency & Power Performance: Operates in the frequency range of 8.0 to 12.0 GHz (X-band). It can handle pulsed incident power up to 50 W (pulse width 100 μs, duty cycle 10%) at 25°C, with pulsed power handling capability of 47 dBm at 25°C and 46 dBm at 85°C. Continuous wave (CW) incident power handling is 40 dBm at 25°C and 36 dBm at 85°C.

- Electrical Characteristics: Insertion loss is less than 0.5 dB, ensuring minimal signal attenuation during normal operation. Input and output return loss performance is optimized for 50 Ω systems. When incident power exceeds 30 dBm, flat leakage power is less than 18 dBm and spike leakage is less than 20 dBm. The device has a fast recovery time of less than 115 ns, enabling rapid response to high-power signal transients.

- Operational Features: Adopts passive design without the need for DC bias, simplifying circuit integration and reducing system power consumption. The RF input and output ports are non-interchangeable, ensuring proper signal flow and protection effectiveness. It supports surface mount technology (SMD/SMT) for automated assembly processes.
